Another successful Paint Day in the Park took place on August 13, 2007 at Lee LeClear Tennis Center. Houston's own designer extraordinare Kelly Gale Amen provided giant canvases which were be made into artistic pieces by dipping tennis balls in paint and then thrown at the canvases.

The Amen Bed
The Amen Bed is a custom-made canvas upholstered art bed by renowned furniture
artist Kelly Gale Amen. The bed was originally created by Amen in 1998 and donated
to the Texas Children’s Hospital. Fifty-one artists, including Cancer Center patients, family and staff, helped Amen ( a cancer survivor himself ) paint the bed, creating a
one-of-a-kind piece of modern functional art.

Inside the walls of Just Dinner — an intimate BYOB just opened by Andrew Rebori — Kelly Gale Amen has enhanced the dining experience with exposed wood walls, hardwood floors and a palette of olive and wheat shades — restrained but for some whimsical splashes of marinara-red paint. |

Montrose's newest nexus melds caffeinated beverages and homegrown art. Sited in the just-unveiled Art League Houston Studio School ( building by architect irving Phillips ), Inversion boasts interiors by Houston design wizard and internationally exhibited artist Kelly Gale Amen. When owners and partners Amy and Greg Johnson approached Amen 16 months ago, he immediately said yes, with one condition — that the new coffee stop provide a venue for "an authentic experience."

KGA Donates Art Furniture Bench to Thomas P. Stafford Air and Space Center : Weatherford, OK : March 2006
On March 29, KGA donated an art furniture bench to the Thomas P. Stafford Air and Space Center in his hometown of Weatherford, OK. General Thomas Stafford, a record-setting NASA astronaut and space pioneer, recevied the KGA bench at the dedication ceremony in Weatherford.

Interior designer Kelly Gale Amen will feature a piece of original fabric furniture, then covered in resin and perched on oil drums in the center of the new Bering & James gallery space beginning March 17, 2006. The exhibit will also be featured as part of FotoFest 2006.
