The world of KGA functional art furniture began in 1990 with the desire to create a sustainable icon of usable and functional art furniture. As the dream moved into fruition, it was clear that there were many opportunities of commemoration, honoring and raising funds for different philanthropic organizations. Thus, these partnerships with Kelly Gale Amen art furniture became a reality.
Each foundation or organization works differently in their process and approach; however, the ultimate goal is viewership, fundraising, awareness and a product that has long-term sustainable usage. The most successful partnerships are those where the foundation bench is sold for $10,000. The foundation receives $6,000 and the remaining $4,000 covers the cost of design and fabrication.
In these times, when people are wanting to see the value of every penny, what a wonderful way to commemorate, laugh, share, and help in city parks, private homes, and collections.
